Skardu is a city in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, and serves as the capital of Skardu District. Skardu is located in the 10 kilometres (6 miles) wide by 40 kilometres (25 miles) long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers at an elevation of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet). The city is an important gateway to the eight-thousanders of the nearby Karakoram Mountain range. The town is located on the Indus river, which separates the Karakoram Range from the Himalayas.

Day-01: Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Day-01: Islamabad and Rawalpindi
Welcome at Islamabad airport, and transfer to hotel, after refreshment proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi old bazaar, Raja Bazaar.

Day-02: Drive from Islamabad to Chilas

Drive to Chilas on Karakoram highway 11-12 hours 461 km. Overnight at hotel
Karakorum highway is 8th wonder of the world (KKH) Karakorum highway is the highest paved international road in the world. It connects China and Pakistan across the Karakorum Mountain range, through the Khunjerab Pass, at an elevation of 4,733 m/15,397 ft. It connects China’s Xinjiang region with Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions and also serves as a popular tourist attraction. Due to its high elevation and the difficult conditions in which it was constructed, it is also referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.

Day-03: Drive from Chilas to Skardu

Drive to Skardu along with Indus River 8-9 hours, 290 km. En-route stop at junction point of three great mountain ranges meet, The Karakorum, Himalaya and Hindukush and stop at Thalichi for photography from Nanga Parbat 8,126 m

Day-04: Local visits in Skardu & Shigar

Morning drive to Shigar valley 35 km, visit Shigar Fort, Shigar valley and the Cold Desert, also known as the Katpana Desert. Afternoon visit Satpara Lake and hike to Kharpocho fort from Skardu city 2 hours.

Day-05: Drive from Skardu to Khaplu Village

Drive to Khaplu village 100 km, En-route stop at various viewpoints for photography. Arrive Khaplu and transfer to hotel.
After refreshment visit Khaplu Fort and Khaplu village. Evening enjoy walk and photography from the colors of blossom in Khaplu village.

Day-06: Drive back from Khaplu to Skardu

Morning visit Chaqchan Mosque and Khaplu village, afternoon drive back to Skardu 100 km.

Day-07: Drive from Skardu to Besham

Drive to back to Besham on Karakorum highway 10-12 hours. En-route stop at various view points for photography and refreshment.

Day-08: Besham to Islamabad

After breakfast departure for Islamabad 261 km, en route visit Taxila, which includes Taxila Museum, Julian, Mohra, Moradu and Sirkap. Arrive Islamabad and transfer to hotel.
