This trek is located within the Rakaposhi Range in the region of Hunza – Nagar valleys. It is also an opportunity to see the local culture of the mountain people. There are summer settlements in this trekking route, local people with their cattle (sheep, goats, yaks and cows etc.). There are pasturelands on the whole trek only on the top have the glacier moraine, it takes 2-3 hours easy walk to cross the moraine. It is just like Nepal but there are no lodges, therefore, we are arranging the camps for the portage we use the animals. From Minapin village the path follows the irrigation channel and crosses the river on a good bridge. It then follows the River before ascending steeply through woods to a summer settlement knows as Bungidas. Higher up is the smaller summer settlement of Hapakun with good camping.
Welcome at Islamabad airport, and transfer to hotel. After refreshment proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi old bazaar, Raja Bazaar.
Drive to Naran 6-7 hours, 239 km, after lunch continue drive to Chilas 3-4 hours 113.3 km via Babusar Pass 4,173m. Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the ThakNala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the world.
Drive to Minapin 5-6 hours. En-route stop at junction point of three great mountain ranges meet, the Karakorum, Himalaya and Hindukush, at Thalichi for photography from Nanga Parbat 8,126m and at Rakaposhi view point for photography and refreshment.
Trek to Hapakun 4-5 hours, 5.8km. The trail begins behind the Minapin village, cross a bridge to the Minapin River’s true left bank. The stepped path gives wide views of the Minapin Glacier, and eventually of the entire Rakaposhi-Diran crest line. After five hrs ascent, we reached Hapakun huts.
Trek to Rakaposhi base camp 3-4 hours, 3km.
Ascend a trail through forest with excellent views of Diran as you rise above the Minapin glacier. There is lush green Tagaphari meadow also summer huts with shepherds just overlooking the glacier’s supper ice fields; from Tagaphari walk up the ridge for great views of the Batura peaks, Shispar peak, and Ultar Peaks.
Excursion to Diran peak base camp (Altitude 3650m) and trek back to Hapakun. Altitude: 2,814m
Trek down to Minapin village 3 hours and drive to Karimabad 1 hour.
Morning visit Baltit Fort 700 Years old and Baltit village, afternoon visit Altit Fort 900 Years old, Altit village and visit the women carpenters of Hunza. Evening enjoy water channel walk from Karimabad to towards Hyderabad village.
Full day excursion to Khunjerab Pass 4733m, (Pak- China Border) evening drive back to Karimabad. en-route visit Attabad Lake, Borith Lake, Gulmit village, Passu white Glacier, Passu village, Hussani village and Hussani suspension bridge.

Drive to Islamabad 6-7 hours 239 km, en-route visit Taxila museum and historical sites. Taxila: Most of the archaeological sites of Taxila (600 BC to 500 AD) are located around Taxila museum. For over one thousand-year Taxila remained famous as a centre of learning Gandhara art of sculpture, architecture, education, and Buddhism in the days of Buddhist glory. There are over 50 archaeological sites scattered in a radius of 30 km around Taxila. In Taxila visit archaeological sites of Jaulian, Mohra Moradu, and Sirkap. Later visit. Taxila museum: A museum comprising various sections with rich archaeological finds of Taxila. It is one of the best and well-maintained site museums of Pakistan.
Departure
